About Our Team
At RKMCC Bal Vihar, our teachers and volunteers come together with a shared goal: to nurture young minds and share the timeless wisdom of Hindu Dharma in a fun, joyful, and meaningful way.
Our team brings love for children, culture, and values into every class, creating a supportive and engaging environment where learning feels natural and enjoyable.
Through thoughtfully planned lessons and activities, children are encouraged to learn about kindness, respect, courage, devotion, and right action in their daily lives.
We warmly welcome families to join this journey of learning and growth, and we invite parents and community members to support the program through seva.
To make this experience meaningful for everyone, we kindly ask all families to show respect and patience toward our teachers and seva members, whose dedication makes each class possible.
My name is Sonam, and I am a teacher at the mandir. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Science, a Master’s degree in Mathematics, and a Bachelor of Education. I also work as an Educational Assistant with the Waterloo Region District School Board.
Teaching has always been my passion, and I feel blessed to guide children in learning not just academics, but also the values, traditions, and history of our culture. I enjoy creating a warm and welcoming environment where students feel curious, confident, and proud of their heritage. Seeing them embrace learning with joy and respect inspires me every day.
